This year we are concentrating our fundraising efforts on Yarik. He came to Wisconsin at age16. He had to leave his family behind in the southeastern part of Ukraine. War was on their doorstep, and they were desperate to keep their youngest son safe. More than two years have passed, and things have only gotten worse. There is no safe way for him to return home, and there may never be. Although his family was middle class before the war, they are no longer able to contribute significantly to his education.

Yarik has successfully completed high school and is attending college. Thankfully, he has earned just over $45,000/year in merit-based scholarships. Unfortunately, he still needs an additional $25,000/year to attend. Yarik needs $100,000 over four years to graduate from a top tier American college.

Helping Yarik is a way to help Ukraine. He plans to study computer science and already has learned to code in both English and Russian. He loves his home country and plans to do the best he can to stop the invasion and rebuild Ukraine. Please join us and help this young man have a future. Every bit counts.
